In the previous blog post, we referred to our marketing tactics course in which we talked about brand, it’s importance, how you need brand to assess each and every touch point between you and your customers, and how your brand has to be consistent.
This led us to consider choice of font and what that choice may project about your brand or intention. In exactly the same way, the colours you select say something about you too.
So pick your colours carefully.
One resource we use a lot is https://brandcolors.net/. It lists the colours of some of the world’s biggest brands – brands that have spent thousands working out what their colours say about them and which colours go together. It’s worth a look.
Orange
Vibrant, energetic, movement, change, forward thinking, health, energy, youth, innovation.
Pink
Romance, tenderness, sweetness.
Red
Fire, heat, passion love, danger and importance.
Blue
Calmness, professionalism, seriousness, reliability, trustworthiness, technology.
Yellow
Happiness, sunshine, cowardice, deceit, hope.
Purple
Creative, wisdom, imaginative, expensive.
Green
Growth, new beginnings, renewal, inexperience, calming but still with energy.
Grey
Professional, calm, cool, dull, corporate.
Black
Boldness, minimal, luxury, class.
Brown
Dull, dependable, reliable, wholesome.
